Would I have a hard time living in Australia?

After I finish college (in my country), I plan to study again in Australia, and probably find a job to support my expenses. I've heard that universities in Australia could be really expensive if I didn't have any scholarship or house to stay in while I'm studying. Can you explain to me what I should consider if I plan to study and work there? Thank you.
