Regret my purchase, too scared to return it?

I need urgent help, I'm going to return a jacket I bought a week ago. I regret buying it so bad because it was really ugly but the problem is that I just can't do it? Tomorrow is the last day for returning and I'm so scared. I have a problem with returning things back to the store because I always fear that the cashier will get angry or treat me less worthy because I take back money. How do I handle this problem? How do I find the courage to return the jacket and just forget about it? I have to return it, I don't want to keep an ugly jacket.
