Question #10400225

My ferrets paw? Is it okay?

My ferret is 6 years old, and male. He gets his nails clipped at a nearby pet store along with my 2 year old female ferret. About 2 weeks ago I noticed that on his paw one of his claws wasnt being used. It kind of sticks straight out. The padding of the nail is raw and a lighter color than the normal pink color they are. It isnt hurting him, it doesnt bother him at all. But it concerns me. I made an appointment and wont be seen for another 2 weeks so I was wondering could it be really serious. Is it cause to take him to the animal hospital. Is it an infection of some sort? Thanks in advance.
