how does my friend get keys back from her ex boyfriend?

my friends ex boyfriend has just come out of prison,and he basically is being nasty towards her for no reason,he has threatend to smash her telly up,and has a spare set of keys which he won't give back. property is in my friends name,but her ex boyfriend has known the landlord years before they even met. who can she contact for advice?
