Ladies, why do you think your boyfriend should pay for your company?

So many girls are like "A man who won't pay a woman's way is tight with their money and not a gentleman. I'd tell him that he is so lucky to have you by his side, he should be so wrapped he has your beautiful company and gorgeous you, that he'd be honored to pay your way." What makes her company more important than his, that he has to pay for her to be with him? Why is he seen as cheap, when she isn't willing to pay a dime?
