is it worth to buy indian cell phones? or go for branded ones?

i'm looking for a android phone.. is it worth to buy those cheap android phones like karbonn, micromax , xolo etc. etc which is less expensive and has great specs on paper or go for a good branded ones which has less specs but expensive?
