basic or natural science - biotechnology?

Okay, so i have this chance for applying to a scholarship which will offer me 80k annually for 5 yrs :o But its eligibility criterion states that its applicable only for basic and natural sciences. As i have taken up biotech, am i eligible.. that is; is it a natural or a basic science? or none? thanks (:
