Question #1100305

what fallacy is this argument commiting?

We mustn’t allow the sale of violent video games to children under 18 years of age. If we allow the sale of such games as “Grand Theft Auto” and “Call of Duty” to children under 18 years of age, our children will become desensitized to images that depict acts of violence on other human beings. If our children become desensitized to violence in this way, we can be sure that they will be more likely to harm other children or the elderly, which will lead to a nightmarish society not unlike the one described in the story “A Clockwork Orange”. So if you want to prevent your children from becoming rapists and murderers, you should contact your state legislator and demand that more restrictions are placed on the sale of violent video games.
