I want to sell my wallpapers with quotes from Confucious or the Bible, is it ok?

Copyright issues are my concern. I read somewhere that authors that are past 70 years from their death are allowable. Just wanted to make sure. I wanted to quote from Confucius, Gandhi, Bible, Aristotle, etc. Hope there are good lawyers or law specialist here,. hehe thanks
