identify vertex? :S and find x-intercept?

hi i need to identify the vertex for f(x)=-4x^2+24x-41 the answer i got was v(3,-5), i dont know if it is right, please tell me also i need to find it's x-intercept.. i dont know how to do that. Please help me and thanks in advance :D
