Can you help me with some tips for shaving?

I just started shaving today- and my mom's rule is no more than about 2 inches above the knee, which I'm fine with. Can you reccomend any razors or shaving creams? I am going to be getting some new ones (btw I'm 12 ) soon! Also, any tips for before and after shaving? Thanks in advance! ♥
