How do I write about being stabbed?

I am writing a story and one of the characters... Well to put it simply annoyed the wrong person. She turned to leave and he ended up stabbing her in her left side. I'm not sure how I describe that as I can't change view points to watch how she reacts. I have to describe it as it is happening.
