Need help or advice on a situation?

Ok I'm engaged to be married and I live my fiancé dearly but I do have trust issues when it comes to certain things. Currently we need a new vechile. We are sharing a car and its hard because I teach during the day in a different parish n when I get home he is already at work because he works evenings. I have to take him the car during his lunch break etc etc. I've tried to find a car lot willing to work with me but I'm currently in a ch 13 bankruptcy. My fiancé tried to qualify as a consigned for me but instead the car lot offered to help just him. The problem now is that he wants me to pay the car note on a vechile that will be only in his name plus go half on the insurance and I'm not comfortable with that. He doesn't think that I trust him but its not that I don't trust him. It just that in the end I don't want to get screwed. He could get mad one day and leave n I wouldn't hve any claims on the car that I've paid for if I get it in just his name. I don't know. I feel bad. Am I right or wrong though for not wanting to pay for a car that legally wouldn't b mines if something did go wrong?
