How many Tiger barbs and Lake Kutubu Rainbow fish in a 55 gallon?

I already have 6 Tiger barbs and 2 Rainbow fish. I wanted to get 6 more rainbows since they love to school and I was wondering how many Tiger barbs I could get if there were 8 rainbows total?
