Question #12250223

Can witnessing someone with depression start depression in you?

I tried to help someone with depression a little while ago, but I didn't know ho it felt or what it was like so I couldn't help very well. It led to lots of fights and a lot of fear that if I accidentally say the wrong thing I could cause this person to do serious damage to themselves. It got to the point where I had a panic attack. Now I have been having lots of signs of depression and I was wondering if this could be the reason why. It was quite a stressful time in my life.
