Skin problem on palms of hand?

OK so I had this weird skin looking deformity on the middle of my middle finger,( palm side). It started to peel suddenly but there was no pain at all, it came out of no where. Then over the course of months it started to spread ALOT the skin is now peeling onto the top of the middle finger, the eastern middle part of the palm the far left of the index finger making its way to the front of my hand. It occasionally starts itching maybe once or twice a week and it makes small red splotches (nothing big or severely red). I am really concerned when it peels the skin looks very dry, in comparison to my other hand it looks disgusting. Added note : Where the peeling first started has now completely healed. I just want to prevent it from spreading more! help
