Travel agent as a career path?

next year will be my last year and school and I have a pretty good idea on what I want to do once I leave. I am into sales and retail and administration and have been looking up different careers that have to do with either of those. I've found travel agency work and it doesn't sound so bad? I'm not 100% sure on pay and how often you need to work etc etc but from where I'm standing it seems ok. would anyone like to educate me professionally on what is required of you to be a travel agent? do you need any qualifications? what does the work schedule consist of, how well are you paid, what are the major challenges you're faced with on a daily basis? just the simple outline. thank you so much in advance!
