How should I wear my hair for winter formal?

Just wanted to know what you guys think... I want to do something different, since I don't get that many opportunities to dress up. My hair falls to about three inches below the top of my shoulders, and it is naturally blonde, not platinum or dark blonde, just the standard, honey colored blonde. It used to be wavy when it was shorter and now it has a slight curve at the end. It's a normal to thick thickness and relatively fine. It curls and straightens well. Please, I'll take any ideas.
