what do you think too young?

I bought my 4 year old daughter a tablet for Christmas I thought it was awsome because she's always using my and she takes good care of it...but when I told my friends they kind of looked at me like I was crazy and for the rest of the night I felt like I was getting the cold shoulder.......did I do something wrong
