I m a regular smoker, im having burning sensations in chest. Is it a acidity or somethng else?

I am a smoking from last 6years. I ws a hard smoker in the starting. But from last 2 years i use to smoke 2-3 sticks per day. From last week i m sufuring from this prob, is it dangerous or kind of acidity in the body.
