Fish infected with ich.?

I currently have a 10 gallon tank with two freshwater fishes and they both have contracted the Ich parasite. I don't really have the money to buy a whole new 10+ gal. tank, and all of the necessities to go with it. I was wondering instead of buying a quarantine tank, if I could clean the 10 gal. I have now spotless, and use that as a quarantine to medicate them?
