CC... Youtube... iPod?

Okay so how do I enable the cc in youtube using the ipod.. I know that you go to settings-video-enable closed captions. So I did that... the question is: how do I make it work while watching a video (does that make sense?) Anyways just tell what to do please... :) Thanks.. :D
