Is it bad to keep reopening my pierced ears?

So I play basketball & I've had my ears pierced for about a week. I had to take them out today for about 2 hours, when I tried to put them back in I pretty much had to go through the whole again. Tomorrow i have a game again. Is it bad to continue doing this every time I play a game?
