How to tell if you have asthma?

I used to have asthma when I was young and I stopped having asthma attacks at around the age of 7. Now I'm 16 and I think my asthma has come back. How do I know if it is asthma? Are there any signs? I don't remember much about asthma because I was so young when I had it.
