Is there a way to design a SharePoint site without creating a SharePoint site?

I'm looking to design a vision for a sharepoint website we are having reconstructed. A contractor will be actually recreating/putting together the new site, but to present what I want it to look like I need to be able to design a deliverable that can showcase the vision of the new site. Is there anyway to make a share point site face? OR any resources for easy share point editing?
