What does it mean when you remove your partners name from your relationship status on Facebook but it still says "in a relationship?

Theres this girl who's been in with a guy for almost 2 years now. Im pretty sure I'm her backup. I heard she and her boyfriend broke up like a month ago. But both their relationship status on Facebook still said in a relationship with for like three weeks.. Now it says "in a relationship" but not "in a relationship with". the names are gone What does that mean. I don't feel like asking her because she doesn't know i know she had or have a guy.
