What is best negotiate with baby daddy or go accept court proposal ?

My baby boy is 13 months and I'm trying to figured out what's best for him in the long run. Should I Accept the court proposal or is it better negotiate with baby daddy ? Is it valid if I get into an agreement about child support and visitation as if I accept the court proposal ? I'm tired of arguing and having issues with his baby daddy I'm confused on what should I do
