These guys are kind of the ''Big 3'' of Thrash Metal rythym guitarists. So which one is the best in these categories: 1) Solos Gary would have stuff like Piranha, Bonded by Blood, and Downfall. Dave would have stuff like Holy Wars, Hangar 18, and Wake up Dead. James isn't a lead player, but he would have stuff like Master of Puppets, the 2nd solo in Orion, and the melodic solo in To Live is to Die. 2) Riffs Gary has Piranha (Im pretty this was Gary's and not Rick's), Iconoclasm, and Only Death Decides. Dave would have Holy Wars, Symphony of Destruction, and Take no Prisoners. James would have Blackened, For Whom the Bell Tolls, and Damage Inc. 3) Lyrics Gary has Hammer and Life, Deliver Us to Evil, and Iconoclasm. Dave has Peace Sells, Endgame, and Rust in Peace. James has Master of Puppets, ...And Justice for All, and Sad but True. And overall, who is the best songwriter?
