Is this makeup even necessary?

I'm fairly simple when it comes to makeup. A little concealer, blush, eyeshadow, and mascara and I'm out the door. When I have time I'll throw on a little eyeliner and lipgloss. Anyways, it's senior prom, and I'm planning to go ALL OUT, since it's a big night. I've been looking up different makeup tips for a few days now. What the heck is bronzer, luminizer, and brightener, and do you even need them? Thanks so much!
