I'm going to buy the Nikon D3000 but I have 2 options. I can 1: buy the camera with the 18-55mm AF lense?

For $250 or option 2: I can buy the body of the Nikon D3000 for $180 and would have about $70 to buy a lense. If I were to go with option 2 what lense should I get USED? Which should I go with? Will be my first dslr and will be taking pictures at local parks and old steel mills.
