Can the two Goldfish survive in my tank?

As you know Goldfish usually lives better in bowls and I have never had Goldfish in my tank. I have recently bought two goldfish and as I wanna set up my tank, I was thinking to have these two Goldfish in my tank for a while. But I'm not sure if it's a right thing to do! I don't know what I should feed them either. What do you think? What's a better place for them? Your help is highly appreciated.
