I just bought a 95 allegro bay w/slideout. It's my 1st Rv. What do I need to know about rving?

Just took my 1st ride today. It's not in mint condition, but with anything that outdated you can expect to do some remodeling. I only payed $5000 for the beast, so I figure if I put another $5000, I'll still have a good Rv for a good price. Am I right? Never rv'd before... What are some things I need to know about where to park? how much can I expect to pay for tuneups? What Rv clubs are best? Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.
