What does it mean when you have a pain in your stomach during intercourse?

Last night my husband and I was being Intimate and all of a sudden a sharp pain came on in my stomach, so we stopped I laid down and it still contiued too hurt, I'm not sure what the pain is can anyone maybe some what help me. It's still bothering me this morning as well. I have never had this happen too me before.
