Question #5336821

working baking soda into carpet?

trying to get rid of an old vinegar smell. basically used to much vinegar on my carpet for cleaning and still smells 3 months on. Im going to use baking soda, fairly cheap and heard it neutralises acid odors so should be good, but my question is would it be better to work it into a wet carpet or sprinkle it on then wet the carpet so it gets through to the pads? which need to be done i cant pull the carpet though and luckily the carpets not to thick. or has anyone got a routine to do, so after iv worked it into the carpet, then wat, do i leave it and sprinkle some more on? thankyou!!
