Should i just keep pushing it or leave him alone?

Should i just keep pushing it or leave him alone? This guy made it like he wanted to talk to me and then dissed me by not answering my call. Do you think he thinks it was a joke, like don't most guys if they don't want to talk to you they'll straight up say it or ignore you to not hurt your feelings. The thing is he replied to my texts when i called he texted me whats up and we were talking for a bit and i ended the convo looking forward to talk to you tommorow. He didn't respond. Like i honestly feel like he thinks i'm up to tricks after this whole situation a couple of months ago, but i didn't think it was such a big deal. Thats why i wanted to talk to him because i feel like he hates me, and then i feel like he wouldn't mind if we talked... idk :(
