Question #5950659

Can I Play Saxophone With Nerve Damage?

I am 18 years old and have always had an interest in any and all saxophone and i really want to play. I have been playing acoustic and electric guitar for a a few years (nothing advanced.) The problem is i have nerve damage in my right hand making my right pinkie finger almost useless. I can make a fist and straighten it but there is little to no strength behind it. Do i need that finger that much to play any kind of Saxophone.
