Infection in surgical incision..?

I recently had a abdominal hysterectomy and have developed an infection in the incision. It was treated by the DR on the 8th and now my hubby treats it at home. Last night a second small hole opened with more of the infection. and am now worried its not healing correctly.. any advice (besides the obvious go to the ER walkin clinic etc) I AM taking an antibiotic.
