will my piercing get infected?

i had my ears pierced when i was about 10 for the first time and it didnt hurt at all. i got them peirced again and i took the earrings out 4 and a half weeks early...the woman who did them said wait 8 weeks. its been afew days now and they dont look so good. they are a bit red and dont look like they formed properly. help?
