Please telme if this method of hair straightening at home is correct?

i have a very weird hair types til mid length its straight n den its wavy(v wavy) but nt curly so what i do is after washing my hair, i condition it n den i dry it wil towel then i use silk n shine hair lotion n den i blow dry it straight keepin d heat in LOW HOT however d desired result is nt dat effective. it looks kinda ok but i wan poker straight hair. or atleast STRAIGHT hair. please telme some methods to do at home Thanks
