I have a problem opening Skyrim. Can someone help?

Whenever I try to open Skyrim through Steam, nothing happens. I open Steam, go to Skyrim, and click play, it'll open the launcher, click play again, and nothing happens. Please note I JUST downloaded it too. Please help.
