Can I claim bad gas works on my home insurance?

I hired a gas engineer to install a boiler and fire, he fitted it and the next day we could smell gas so we called out GAS SAFE they came out an said it all needs to be ripped out and done again we don't have the money and the guy who fitted it has vanished, so we can't sue. Any info about if/how we can claim on home insurance would be fantastic. Thanks
