iPod experts, I NEED HELP.?

Well here is my case, my iPod is broken. I took it from somebody I hate and I've been trying to fix it. I have tried restarting it and everything. When I plug it in, it says "Charging, Please Wait". So my fat a$s has been waiting forever. Then when you take the charger out, it turns off and doesn't turn on. It is completely useless at this point. Don't tell me to restart and sh^t cause' I have already done everything. Anyone know what I can do or where I can go to get this iPod working again? Thanks everyone!
