Can i fail if i dont take my final?

I was suppose to take my final for a clas but was very sick, the next day in school i tried rescheduling it with the techer he told me talk to me administrator so i did, he told me talk to my teacher. Now school is out and i jave yet to take me final and neither of them will email me back. So if i dont take the final will i fail? Im in highschool and had an 87 in both quarters of the last semester.
