I really like this guy? What should I do?

I met this guy a few months ago at a club and we kissed and were really into each other but didn't talk for a while, but about a week ago he messaged me and has been talking to me nonstop for about a week and I really do like him! But apparently he's got a bit of a reputation for talking to a lot of girls and this has kind of made me feel a bit down lately because he hasn't spoken to me for the last like 3 days which is weird because we have been speaking like 24/7. He asked me on a cinema date before though and I really want to go on it with him but how can i message him without looking needy of desperate?
