Activities and tasks for an Alzheimers sufferer?

Hi. Need activity ideas for an Alzheimers sufferer. I have two jobs so something that can be done without my supervision when Im out the house. I checked out some websites about some but he gets quickly frustrated with things like puzzles and crosswords etc. He's never been crafty and wouldn't know where to begin, he's more practical and would prefer sorting things, but need it all to be time consuming as Im out all day. Im keen to get a low fuss pet like garden chickens or something. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
