Dancing with someone else?

I dreamed that I was at this dance, and there were girls asking boys to dance. And there was this one boy who was in charge of the guest list or something along those lines, and he looked like he was waiting for someone to ask him to dance. And so I went up and asked him. But all the while in my mind, my mind was screaming at me that this wasn't a good idea. What about my boyfriend?! What would he think if he saw me dancing with someone else? And I kept telling myself - almost as if convincing myself - that it didn't mean anything. I just wanted to dance with him. And the boy ended up twirling and spinning me around the dance floor like a human rag doll. xP Please help me understand what this means! Thank you so much~! ~Liz
