Should Marijuana be legal?

Serious question. I personally do not smoke weed or anything like that but I still believe it should be legalized. Cigarettes are much worse and have actually killed people before and yet its still legal. Think about it, the gov't could just tax it and make a little profit through pot so in the end everyone is happy right? And if people are worried about other people going to work all high then that could be solved because the employers could just simply put a policy for that. Idk, i just think its the people who are ignorant about it and they just need to know that its really not as bad as the media makes it seem like. So tell me what you think about it.
