I keep having sharp shooting pains round my ribs?

I have been having these like shooting/ throbbing pains round my rib area, ive had this for a while now, it feels like someone's stabbing me, and sometimes it goes right through me to my back, it hurts that much im nearly in tears hahaha. any ideas what this could be? Please answer:))
