Does anyone know a good neighborhood to live in Chicago between Maywood and Lincoln Park?

Two of my friends and I are looking to live in Chicago next year. I'll be a senior at DePaul University and one of my friends is going to be going to grad school in Maywood area. Does anyone know any good neighborhoods to live in between those areas? Ideally, I'd like to be close to a red line stop and my friend would like to be close to 290. Thanks!
