How long does it take warts to go away? Using medicated bandaids?

I have a wart on the underside of one of my small toes. I've been using wart removal medicated bandages. I read some reviews on Amazon and most people said they cleared up their warts in about a month, but I've been treating mine for about 3 months straight now. The skin around it is peeling and I know that that's how these bandaids work is by removing layers of skin until the layer that the wart started on is exposed and comes off. It just seems strange that it's taking so long. I replace the bandages 2 or 3 times a week.
